Setting up your connection

For those who are having difficulties in getting file list and keep seeing the message 'connection timed out', here is a solution that might work on you:

1)
Type "!myip" in the main chat, and then the system will respond you with your current IP,
for example:
- <+=Hearts=+> *** Your current IP is: 10.1.51.135

2)
Copy the IP and go to your DC++ toolbar.
Select File -> Settings -> Connection Settings and then select "Direct Connection".
Paste the IP you copied just now into the box "External / WAN IP".
Click OK.

Now, half of the problem should be solved already...
If you still can't get some file list, it does not mean that it is your problem. It might be the person's setting problem, so no worries.

P/s.: Please note that if your current setting was rejected by the hub with error message like "Your IP is incorrect", please re-do the steps above.

How to share my files?

At your DC++ toolbar,
Select File -> Settings -> Sharing.

Then tick the folder that you wish to share.
After you tick on the folder, DC++ will start processing and hashing your selection, so please be patient here.

When done, click OK and reconnect to the hub. Now your things are available to be downloaded by others!

P/s:Please confirm that the folders you share do not contain anything that you DON'T WISH OTHERS TO DOWNLOAD. Everything in the same folder will be shared out and available to be downloaded.

If any of your private belongings were shared out, the hub owners and operators are not responsible for that. Thanks =D

How to register as a registered user?

In Dazzl!G-AcE hub and KinGDoMHeartS hub,
type !regme, followed by your desired password, and then press enter.

For example:
!regme 123456

And then go to your Favorite Hubs setting (which is represented as a yellow star in the toolbar).

Right click on the hub you registered, select Properties. Within the password column, fill in the password you registered.

Click OK.

By doing this, you don't have to enter your password every time you connect to the hub. Your password will be sent automatically.

Reconnect to the hub, and you're done!

P/s : Please note that once you registered a nickname, it will be your username. If you wish to change a nickname, you have to register again, or request help from the hub owner.
